Free Yoga in Little India
Free Yoga in Little India is all about utilising community spaces in Little India in a fun new way. To bring together the communities that inhabit and visit this culturally rich neighbourhood on a Sunday morning.
So come yoga with us as we kickstart the first session of our social initiative, Free Yoga in Little India on May 8th, 2016.

This first session will start with some breathing exercises and ease into a beginner flow routine incorporating basic asanas and end with relaxation.
LiSHA has very kindly given us access to use the funky little green spot in Hindoo Road for this session. Find us by looking for the colourful umbrella trees!
This is a people power driven event so if you would like to volunteer at this event or at future sessions coming up, please drop us a line on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We also seek second hand mats for those in the community who do not have access to one.
Our target is to reach 40 mats. So give away and upgrade! The best kind of consumerism ;-)

If that's not enough, we have been very generously offered an indoor space in the neighbourhood to act as a soup kitchen to provide nutritious free meals for post yoga participants. We would like your support in sponsoring hot vegetarian meals for the soup kitchen to become a reality.

We encourage comfortable, non body conscious yoga wear for this session.
The sessions begins at 8am. Registration and checkins from 7.45am. We have 40 spots available per session.

I understand that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular tension.
Participation in yoga includes, but is not limited to, participation in meditation techniques, yogic breathing techniques, and performing various yoga postures. Yoga postures, or asanas,are designed to exercise every part of the body―stretching and toning the muscles and joints, the spine and the entire skeletal system. They also work on the internal organs, glands and nerves. Yoga incorporates sustained stretching to strengthen muscles and increase flexibility.
Yoga is an individual experience.
As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. My registration acknowledges I understand that in the free yoga session I will progress at my own pace. If I experience any pain or discomfort, I will listen to my body, adjust the posture and ask for support. I will continue to breathe smoothly. If at any point I feel overexertion or fatigue, I will respect my body’s limitations and I will rest before continuing yoga practice.
Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment. Yoga is not recommended and is not safe under certain medical conditions. I affirm that I alone am responsible to decide whether to practice yoga. I hereby agree to irrevocably release and waive any claims that I have now or hereafter may have against the instructor(s) or the organisers of Free Yoga in Little India.
By registering, I acknowledge that participation in yoga classes exposes me to a possible risk of personal injury. I am fully aware of this risk and hereby release the organisers, volunteers, sponsors, donors of Free Yoga in Little India from any and all liability, negligence or other claims arising from or in any way connected with my participation in the session.
My registration confirms that I am physically fit to participate in yoga sessions and a licensed medical doctor has verified my physical condition for participation in this type of session.
If I am pregnant or become pregnant or am post-natal, my registration verifies that I am participating in yoga with my doctor’s full approval. I realise that I am participating in yoga at my own risk.
My registration is binding to this liability waiver from this day forth.
